Congratulatory Message to Beijing Review’s 60th Anniversary 

Since the earliest years of the People's Republic's foundation, Beijing Review has been one of the key conduits by which the outside world has understood better what China is trying to do, how it sees its view in the world, and what its vision is.  

Over the last decade, I have been happily collaborating with the Review, writing articles, but also working on an important joint translation project. This has been stimulating, helpful and continues the tradition of the Review acting as a major bridge between China and the wider world. I wish it every success in the next sixty years or report, analysis and understanding.
