Congratulatory Message from the Delegation of the European Union to China on the 60th Anniversary of Beijing Review

Dear Editorial Board,Authors and Readers, 

It is with great pleasure that I send you my congratulations on the occasion of the 60^th anniversary of the Beijing Review. I wish continued success in the efforts of your distinguished columnists to report on China's evolving political, economic, social and cultural landscape. I also sincerely appreciate your interest in EU-China relations over the years. 

Since 2018 will be a dynamic year marking the EU-China Tourism Year as well as the 15^th anniversary of the EU-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, I look forward to reading more coverage on these important issues that bring the EU and China closer together. In addition, this year China will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its reform and opening up. I hope that more frequent dialogues will give further impetus to our cooperation in a range of key areas such as climate action, trade and investment, people-to-people, regional cooperation and peace and security in order to bring greater concrete contributions to the lives of Europeans and Chinese, as well as the wider world.
